Montpellier: €405 fine for drinking rosé with friends on the beach of Grand-Travers

This Sunday, the gendarmes of Lunel carried out control operations on the beach of Grand-Travers in La Grande-Motte. The motto was pedagogy. Only for Covid measures.

The donut shop, the sunglasses, the bathing suit… On this Easter Sunday, everything was together for an almost summer day on the beaches of the Hérault. This was without counting on the new confinement rules that came into effect Saturday night, with the possibility of walking only within a radius of only 10 km (of your residence).

Despite a tolerance for this Easter weekend with regard to travel, the police forces intensified their controls with “a pedagogical goal with regard to wearing the mask on the beach”, said the commander in charge of the operation, A few minutes before the controls start.
