So\u2026 what is the punishment?<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Barack Obama has said the biggest mistake of his presidency was the lack of planning for the aftermath of Muammar Gaddafi\u2019s ouster in Libya that left the country spiralling into chaos and coming under threat from violent extremists.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on his legacy in a Fox News interview aired on Sunday, Obama said his \u201cworst mistake\u201d was \u201cprobably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Obama has conceded that the intervention \u201cdidn\u2019t work\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>White House spokesman Josh Earnest on Monday said Obama\u2019s regrets extended to what \u201cthe United States and the rest of the members of our coalition didn\u2019t do\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president has tried to apply this lesson in considering the use of military and other circumstances,\u201d Earnest said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat asking the question about what situation will prevail and what sort of commitments from the international community will be required after that military intervention has been ordered by the commander in chief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/apr\/12\/barack-obama-says-libya-was-worst-mistake-of-his-presidency?CMP=share_btn_fb&amp;fbclid=IwAR2ZmqleUJll3KpNe6B4TMoGvBF0eXGp83hvWYUouhQyDRdItLRytcB0Sto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/apr\/12\/barack-obama-says-libya-was-worst-mistake-of-his-presidency?CMP=share_btn_fb&amp;fbclid=IwAR2ZmqleUJll3KpNe6B4TMoGvBF0eXGp83hvWYUouhQyDRdItLRytcB0Sto<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAEL\u2019S COMMENT: Mistake recognized\u2026 great!
