As one person said, \u201cI cannot believe Steam did that. Violence is fine with them but sex isn\u2019t? What is this, 1950?\u201d I personally never liked the principle of Steam, where you have suddenly a group of people deciding what is politically correct or not, but the good news is that people can and will play the game in other ways. House Party, a game in which players unsurprisingly attend a house party at which they try and have sex with women and fight drunken unruly party guests, has been banned from distribution platform Steam due to complaints over \u201cpornography.\u201d<\/p>\n

One month after going on sale, the game has been banned until a\u00a0\u201cwatered down\u201d\u00a0version of the game can be developed,\u00a0according\u00a0to the raunchy simulators creators Eek! Games.<\/p>\n

“House Party was temporarily removed as a result of a number of complaints that were sent to Steam about the game. The game has been a target for a certain group of people since the day it launched, and said people were posting very aggressive, distasteful and hateful comments directed toward the game and its community of players,”\u00a0the creator said in a blog post.<\/p>\n

Throughout the game, players experience a range of debaucherous activities the moment they step into the house, from fighting and foul language to nudity and sex. It has become popular on YouTube with players uploading their experiences.<\/p>\n

Hardly groundbreaking stuff, but fans of the game argued that the ban is unfair, especially considering that other sexually explicit games such as\u00a0\u201cLadykiller in a Bind\u201d\u00a0an\u00a0\u201cerotic romantic comedy about social manipulation, crossdressing, and girls tying up other girls,\u201d\u00a0is still available on the site.<\/p>\n

\u201cI personally love the game, and hope to see it develop further in the future. Maybe if you wanted, you could add an uncensored patch for us pervs, but i\u2019m still just pissed that a few select people had to ruin it for us!\u201d\u00a0wrote one fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease don\u2019t water down the game, on the contrary make it even more sexualized, because f**k those people imposing their opinions on others. We can\u2019t succumb to their hypocrisy!\u201d\u00a0another said.<\/p>\n

Others pointed to the fact that violence is fine but sex, at least in this game, is not.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can not believe Steam did that. Violence it\u2019s fine with them but sex isn\u2019t? What is this 1950? They should have just ignored the idiots complaining.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now gamers will have to purchase House Party elsewhere, at least until the developers clean the game up to adhere to Steam’s standards.<\/p>\n
