The end of sexual reproduction doesn\u2019t mean at all the end of sex! On the contrary: it\u2019s the beginning of sex, with more sex for pleasure only, and disconnected from reproduction! This title shows that the author had a very \u201csex guilty education\u201d, probably Judeo-Christian, saying, \u201cThou should have sex only for reproduction.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Legal expert Henry Greely envisions a world in which advances in biotechnology obviate the need for sexual reproduction as we know it.<\/p>\n<p>From\u00a0Brave New World\u00a0to\u00a0Gattaca, writers and filmmakers have long imagined how reproductive technology might reshape humanity. In the real world, advances in genomics, stem cells, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) could make it possible within the next few decades to remove the genetic ambiguity of sexual reproduction, enabling couples to have children who are not only free from deadly diseases, but also possess carefully selected physical and mental characteristics.
