Wonderful! That means there is a need to create a new organization representing truly the world, with voting powers proportional to each country’s population. It will also remove the US from the Security Council where it was abusing its veto power to protect Zionist Israel and opposing the wonderful proposals by Russia and other countries.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

A Republican-proposed House Resolution has quietly slipped under the radar \u2013 proposing that the United States withdraw its membership from the United Nations.<\/p>\n

The bill, proposed by Rep. Mike Rogers, a Republican from Alabama, entitled the\u00a0American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2017, seeks a complete US withdrawal from the UN, that the international body remove its headquarters from New York and that all participation be ceased with the World Health Organization as well.<\/p>\n

Rogers and other prominent Republicans have repeatedly voiced the idea that US taxpayer money should not fund anti-US interests.<\/p>\n

The bill, quietly introduced on January 3 and passed on to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, would repeal the United Nations Participation Act of 1945, signed in the aftermath of WWII.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President shall terminate all membership by the United States in the United Nations in any organ, specialized agency, commission, or other formally affiliated body of the United Nations\u2026The United States Mission to the United Nations is closed. Any remaining functions of such office shall not be carried out,\u201d according to the text of HR 193.<\/p>\n

The bill would block the deployment of US military by the UN, and bring about the loss of \u201cdiplomatic immunity for UN officers or employees\u201d on US soil.<\/p>\n

Rogers had tried to pass the same bill in 2015, albeit unsuccessfully.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy should the American taxpayer bankroll an international organization that works against America\u2019s interests around the world?\u201d Rogers asked at the time.<\/p>\n

As another Republican supporter of the bill remarked in January 2015: \u201cI dislike paying for something that two-bit Third World countries with no freedom attack us and complain about the United States\u2026 There\u2019s a lot of reasons why I don\u2019t like the UN, and I think I\u2019d be happy to dissolve it,\u201d added a Kentucky senator.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe UN continues to prove it\u2019s an inefficient bureaucracy and a complete waste of American tax dollars.\u201d Rogers went on to name treaties and actions he believes \u201cattack our rights as US citizens.\u201d These included gun provisions, the imposition of international regulations on American fossil fuels \u2013 but more importantly, the UN attack on Israel, by voting to grant Palestine the non-member state \u2018permanent observer\u2019 status. \u201cAnyone who is not a friend to our ally Israel is not a friend to the United States,\u201d Rogers said in June last year.<\/p>\n

According to calculations by the conservative Heritage Foundation, the US provides over 22 percent of all UN funding.<\/p>\n
