And still, the use of the word \u201cholocaust\u201d is totally inappropriate as it means \u201ca sacrifice offered to a god\u201d, which was absolutely not the case. The word shoah is much more appropriate, it means catastrophe and comes from Hebrew \u05e9\u05d5\u05d0\u05d4.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
So, people can honestly say there was no holocaust without being accused of being revisionist, as it was not at all a voluntary sacrifice offered to a god, but a catastrophe, or shoah in Hebrew.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
It is quite ironic that the survivors of this catastrophe did impose on Palestinians an exile called \u201cnakba\u201d, which in Arabic means also \u2026 catastrophe \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0643\u0628\u0629<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

Tens of thousands of war crime files documenting early evidence of the Holocaust, which were smuggled out of eastern Germany at the height of World War II, are finally being made available to the public for the first time.<\/p>\n

The documents, some of which date back to 1943, were gathered by the United Nations War Crimes Commission over six decades ago and were previously sealed to all but a few with special permission.<\/p>\n

The files, which will be made available by the London-based\u00a0Wiener Library\u00a0with an online-searchable catalog on April 21, provide evidence that the allied forces were aware of the large-scale murders of Jews as early as December 1942,\u00a0the Independent\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n

The files include \u201cextraordinarily detailed\u201d accounts of victims inside the concentration camps where millions of Jews were gassed,\u00a0according\u00a0to the Guardian.<\/p>\n

However, despite this knowledge, the allied governments did little to aid those at risk.<\/p>\n

Until now, only researchers authorized by both their national governments and the UN\u2019s secretary-general were allowed to view the WWII records \u2013 without taking any notes or copies.<\/p>\n

Author and historian Dan Plesch, who just released a\u00a0book\u00a0on the files after studying the documents for a decade, said they are a \u201chuge resource for combating Holocaust denial.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe German national authorities were never given access to the archive by the allies after the war. All of this has never seen the light of day,\u201d Plesch added.<\/p>\n

The UN agency operated between 1943 and 1948 to help national governments in the trials of WWII war criminals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe UN War Crimes Commission catalogue, which can be searched online, will be available through our website this week,\u201d said the library\u2019s archivist, Howard Falksohn. \u201cPeople will then be able to come in and look through the archive itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe anticipate a lot of interest. Some of the PDF files each contain more than 2,000 pages. This is the first time they will be available to anyone in the UK. It may well be that people will be able to rewrite crucial chapters of history using the new evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n
