Salman Khan was nominated Honorary Guide on August 8, 2012, for establishing the Khan Institue, an online learning platform that has won him the international title of “the world’s most influential online educator”. His mission is to provide “a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere” by allowing interested students to access learning videos on a wide range of subjects and giving them the freedom to choose what they want to learn, whenever they want to, from wherever they are. He lives in California, USA.
