BrightVibes has compiled a selection of images of abandoned places, cars and even whole towns that are losing their battles against disappearing entirely due to the irresistible force of nature.
While the number of ecologically conscious people out there is growing, Mother Nature has her own way of fighting back. She gently reminds us of her presence in little ways, flowers growing through the cracks of sidewalks for instance, and in much bigger ways, seen in the 45 photos below.
